Taizé Prayer

Join us and experience the beauty and stillness of a Taizé-style prayer service, held every Wednesday evening at 7:00 PM at St. Francis of Assisi in Youngsville.

Originating from the ecumenical Christian community of Taizé in France, this simple form of worship will follow the Evening Prayer liturgy in our prayerbook and will center on simple, meditative prayer, repetitive chants, scripture readings, and extended silence. The music—gentle and contemplative—creates space for reflection and invites participants into a deep sense of peace and communion with God.

All are welcome, regardless of faith background or familiarity with Episcopal worship. Whether you come seeking stillness, healing, or simply a moment of rest, you will find in Taizé prayer an open invitation to dwell in God’s peace. Come as you are, and join us each Wednesday evening as we pray, sing, and rest together in the sacred presence of the Holy Spirit.
