Our Mission

Our Mission

The Episcopal Mission of Warren County is a mission unit of the Episcopal Diocese of Northwest Pennsylvania, and we to embody a renewed and intentional Episcopal presence serving the whole of Warren County, Pennsylvania.

We think of our Mission as an Episcopal Cathedral in the Forest — a community rooted in the heart of Warren while extending its reach across the county through distinct but interconnected ministries. A center that is buttressed on all sides, and together the structure stands strong. This image reflects both stability and expansion: a central gathering place supported by strong, outward-reaching buttresses that sustain and strengthen the whole structure.

We gather for worship each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. at Trinity Memorial Episcopal Church in Warren, which serves as the mission’s central hub. Yet this hub is supported by ministry throughout the county. Our first and primary buttress is St. Francis Episcopal Church in Youngsville. St Francis, our spiritual center, is the hub of our spiritual formation and discipleship ministries — nurturing prayer, study, and deepening spiritual maturity.

Together, these two communities form the foundation of a broader vision: an array of ministries throughout the county, supporting – and being supported by – our gathered Eucharistic celebrations. Together, these ministries will work together to proclaim God’s accomplished work in Jesus, foster spiritual growth, and engage in compassionate service. Together we are a unified mission — a cathedral community without walls, seeking to reveal Christ throughout Warren County.

We serve the spiritual needs of all who dwell within this region, offering a ministry that is both grounded in tradition and responsive to the realities of contemporary life, in faithfulness to Jesus’ words to his disciples in Matthew 18:19-20, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
